The RSO attends the Regional Platform Virtual Workshop: Case Management Approaches on Alternative Care Arrangement for Children

31 May 2021

The RSO attended the virtual workshop on case management approaches, which was organized by the International Detention Coalition (IDC) and Secretariat of the Asia Dialogue on Forced Migration (ADFM) and shared its recently released Practitioner Guide on Special and Additional Measures for Child Trafficking Victims.

The workshop was organized as part of the ongoing Regional Platform and Program of Learning and Action on Alternative Care Arrangements for Children in the Context of International Migration in the Asia Pacific.

The workshop brought together participants from policy and implementing agencies in the governments of Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand as well as civil society and international organizations.

During the workshop, the participants exchanged good practices on and the benefit of Case Management Approaches on Alternative Care Arrangement for Children in the context of international migration, particularly by sharing experience of participating countries on transition from enforcement to case management approaches, stakeholder and community engagement, and key elements that make case management effective.

The RSO congratulates IDC and the Secretariat of the ADFM for a successful conclusion of the virtual workshop and fruitful discussions.
